PRODUCT OVERVIEW
This is a small band pass filter centered at 1685 MHz with a bandwidth of 20 MHz designed for GOES (Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites) applications
It's used to pass signals in the frequency range 1675 MHz to 1695 MHz.
Typical insertion loss of less than 3.5 dB in the pass band. This filter has excellent rejection specifications, provides power handling of up to a maximum +10 dBm and has an operating temperature range of -40C to +85C.
APPLICATIONS
GOES (Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites) satellites, specifically the R-Series (GOES-16, 17, 19), primarily transmit, or “go,” at a frequency of 1694.1 MHz for HRIT/EMWIN (weather data). Data collection (DCS) operates around 1679.70–1680.10 MHz, and GOES Rebroadcast (GRB) uses 1681.6–1686.6 MHz in the L-band.
SPECIFICATIONS
Passband: 900 MHz +/- 15 MHz
Frequency Typical Attenuation
100 - 1605 MHz > 40 dB
1800 - 2100 MHz > 40 dB
2100 - 2700 MHz > 38 dB
NOTES
- The filter uses SMA-F PCB edge mount connectors.
- Maximum RF input signal Level: +10 dBm
- Max DC voltage on In/Out port = 3 VDC
- Consider using a Low Noise Amplifier before this filter to reduce the noise figure
