PRODUCT OVERVIEW

This is a small bandpass filter centered at 3450 MHz with a 100 MHz bandwidth, covering 3400–3500 MHz. Typical insertion loss is under 4 dB in the passband, with attenuation greater than 30 dB from 50 MHz–3 GHz and above 3.6 GHz. Power handling up to +20 dBm, operating range -40°C to +85°C.

APPLICATIONS

3400–3500 MHz sits within 5G Band n78 and 4G LTE Band 42, part of the broader C-Band range (3.4–4.2 GHz) that's become increasingly congested as 5G mid-band deployment has expanded.

The lower portion of this range, 3400–3475 MHz, has long been allocated to U.S. defense radiolocation systems — meaning equipment operating here often needs to coexist with both commercial 5G rollout and legacy radar activity nearby.

That mix of uses is exactly why out-of-band rejection matters in this specific stretch of spectrum: a receiver tuned to 3400–3500 MHz can pick up interference from adjacent commercial 5G traffic, nearby radar systems, or general C-band congestion, even when none of those sources are in-band. This filter rejects that surrounding energy before it reaches your receiver.

Typical uses:

  • 5G n78 / LTE Band 42 test and measurement
  • Fixed wireless access equipment in this band
  • Radiolocation and defense-adjacent receivers (3400–3475 MHz)
  • Radar system front-end protection
  • General radio scanners, receivers, and spectrum analyzers operating in this range

Need the adjacent CBRS band instead? See the 3625 MHz CBRS/n48 filter (3550–3700 MHz), or the 3300–3900 MHz filter if you need coverage across both ranges in one part.

NOTES

  • The filter uses SMA-F PCB edge mount connectors.
  • Maximum RF input signal level: +20 dBm
  • Max DC voltage: 3 VDC
  • Consider using a Low Noise Amplifier ahead of this filter — placement matters more than the filter's own spec for system noise figure. Our cascaded NF calculator can model your specific chain.
