PRODUCT OVERVIEW
This is a small, cost-effective 868 MHz band pass filter with a typical insertion loss of less than 3 dB in the pass band which includes 867, 868, 869 and 870 MHz.
This filter has been designed specifically for Helium miners. It has RP-SMA connectors at either end so that you don't need additional RF adapters. This minimizes filter insertion loss.
This filter has excellent rejection specifications. Rejection at 400 MHz and 950 MHz for instance, is greater than 40 dB and 60 dB, respectively. The filter also provides power handling of up to a maximum +20 dBm and has an operating temperature range of -40C to +85C.
Please ensure that your:
- Miner has an RP-SMA-F RF Input connector (shown in the product photos) and
- Antenna has an RP-SMA-M Input connector
APPLICATIONS
A Helium filter is beneficial if your Helium antenna is on the top of a building, tower or other location where there are LTE or cellular transmitters. It also benefits certain miners that have omitted an internal SAW filter to save hardware costs. In many situations a filter may not benefit performance. In fact in some situations, it will degrade performance.
SPECIFICATIONS
Passband
867 MHz to 870 MHz
Frequency Minimum Attenuation
100 MHz 40 dB
800 MHz 40 dB
950 MHz 60 dB
NOTE
The filter uses RP-SMA PCB edge mount connectors.
The filter cannot block or tolerate a DC voltage. It will be damaged if a DC voltage is applied at either the input or output. Some receivers have a Bias Tee that is always On by default. Inserting this filter between such a receiver and the antenna will destroy the filter.
