PRODUCT OVERVIEW
This is a small band pass filter centered at 1650 MHz and bandwidth of 50 MHz
It's used primarily to pass signals in the frequency range 1626.5 to 1660.5 MHz, centered at 1643.5 MHz. This is an important slice of the L-band spectrum, used for advanced satellite communications, particularly mobile satellite services (MSS).
Typical insertion loss of less than 5 dB in the pass band. This filter has excellent rejection specifications, provides power handling of up to a maximum +10 dBm and has an operating temperature range of -40C to +85C.
APPLICATIONS
Two-way communication between ground-based mobile terminals and satellites. It’s most commonly used by mobile satellite systems like:
- Inmarsat
- Globalstar
- Thuraya
The filter can be used in radio scanners, receivers, spectrum analyzers and other radio apparatus.
SPECIFICATIONS
Passband: 1650 +/- 25 MHz
Frequency Typical Attenuation
50 MHz - 550 MHz > 60 dB
550 MHz - 900 MHz > 55 dB
900 MHz - 1590 MHz > 40 dB
1750 MHz - 3000 MHz > 30 dB
NOTES
- The filter uses SMA-F PCB edge mount connectors.
- Maximum RF input signal Level: +10 dBm
- Max DC voltage on In/Out port = 3 VDC
- Consider using a Low Noise Amplifier before this filter to reduce the noise figure
