PRODUCT OVERVIEW
This is a small band pass filter centered at 1030 MHz with a bandwidth of 10 MHz
It's used primarily to pass signals in the frequency range 1025 MHz to 1035 MHz. The 1030 MHz band is used by Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) systems to send interrogation signals to aircraft transponders.
Typical insertion loss of less than 4 dB in the pass band. This filter has excellent rejection specifications, provides power handling of up to a maximum +20 dBm and has an operating temperature range of -40C to +85C.
APPLICATIONS
- Air Traffic Control (ATC) radar interrogations
- Mode S transponder communications
- TCAS collision avoidance
- Military Identification Friend or Foe (IFF)
SPECIFICATIONS
Passband: 1030 +/- 5 MHz
Frequency Typical Attenuation
50 MHz - 250 MHz > 65 dB
250 MHz - 500 MHz > 45 dB
500 MHz - 1000 MHz > 35 dB
1100 MHz - 2000 MHz > 35 dB
NOTES
- The filter uses SMA-F PCB edge mount connectors.
- Maximum RF input signal Level: +20 dBm
- Max DC voltage on In/Out port = 3 VDC
- Consider using a Low Noise Amplifier before this filter to reduce the noise figure
