PRODUCT OVERVIEW

This is a compact, cost-effective bandpass filter centered at 1090 MHz, purpose-built for ADS-B and Mode S applications. Typical insertion loss is under 3 dB in the passband, with rejection of 30 dB below 970 MHz and 33 dB from 1150–1300 MHz — enough to keep strong out-of-band signals from overwhelming your receiver before they get there. The filter uses SMA-F PCB edge-mount connectors, handles up to +10 dBm input power, and operates across a -30°C to +85°C range.

APPLICATIONS

If you're running an ADS-B feeder — dump1090, FlightAware, PlaneFinder, or your own SDR setup — this filter protects your receiver from what's around 1090 MHz, not just the signal itself.

Aircraft transponders are weak, and strong neighbors like FM broadcast, cellular/LTE, and other UHF sources can overload an SDR or LNA even when they're not close in frequency. This shows up as dropped messages or a noisy decode rate that has nothing to do with your antenna. Placed ahead of your SDR or LNA, this filter rejects that interference before it reaches the sensitive part of your chain.
