PRODUCT OVERVIEW
This is a tiny low noise amplifier module with a built-in output Bias Tee and can be powered with DC on the RF output cable. Any SDR such as RTL-SDR with at least +3.3V Bias Tee source can be used to power the device. The LNA can also be powered using the DC header. It also has an ESD Protection Diode at the input to prevent damage.
The LNA can be used in a number of different receiver applications such as Ham Radio, TV reception, etc. The product is ideally suited as a pre-amplifier and operates across a large DC supply range of +3.3V to 12V. The noise figure of this LNA is only 0.7 dB at 500 MHz.
| 💡 Don't have an SDR with a Built-in Bias Tee? Power this LNA over the RF output cable with our Wideband Bias Tee. |
APPLICATIONS
- General-purpose receive preamp for Ham radio, scanner, TV, and wideband SDR reception (10 MHz – 3 GHz)
- Direct pairing with bias-tee-equipped SDRs (RTL-SDR, Airspy, HackRF) — powered over the same coax with no extra supply needed
- Safe drop-in gain stage ahead of any antenna or upstream gear, since no DC ever appears at the RF input
- Quick preamp add-on at the receiver end without needing to route power to anything further up the chain
FEATURES
- Wideband LNA operates from 10 MHz to 3 GHz
- 0.7 dB Noise Figure at 500 MHz
- LED power indicator
- SMA-F connectors
- Wide DC supply range +3.3V to +12V

NOTES
- This module has an output-only Bias Tee — DC is not present at the RF input. If you need to power an active antenna or another LNA further upstream in the signal chain, use our Inline LNA with Input and Output Bias Tee instead. It's designed to sit closer to the antenna, passing power upstream to an active antenna.
- This LNA module is identical to the one on this page - except it also has a USB power option
- Connectors are SMA-F
